What to do
When you purchase Plastic Credits and your cumulative amount reaches a minimum of 1,000 USD, you gain ownership of a unique Green Entrepreneur NFT. This NFT represents your commitment to sustainable entrepreneurship and your contribution to ZeLoop’s green initiatives. Every quarter, proceeds from the Plastic Credit program are reviewed, and 10% of these proceeds are allocated to a shared pool for Green Entrepreneur NFT holders, proportionate to each holder’s contribution to the fund.
As of May 2024, 90% of Plastic Credit proceeds are dedicated to funding verified plastic collection and impact projects. Individuals and organizations can purchase the amount of credits they wish to offset their plastic footprint. The remaining 10% of proceeds goes into the pool for Green Entrepreneurs. Anyone whose cumulative purchases reach 1,000 USD or more earns the Green Entrepreneur NFT, and quarterly ownership of this NFT qualifies them for a share of the proceeds allocated to the pool.
To clarify, consider these scenarios: Example 1: In the first quarter, assume the Plastic Credit program gathers 1,500 USD. If there is one Green Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur A, who has contributed 1,000 USD, the reward pool for this quarter would be 10% of 1,500 USD, which totals 150 USD. Since Entrepreneur A is the sole participant, they would receive the full 150 USD. Example 2: In the second quarter, the program collects 2,600 USD. The 10% allocated to the pool would be 260 USD, which is then shared among all Green Entrepreneur NFT holders according to their share of total contributions.

Proceeds from Plastic Credit purchases are tallied every quarter. ZeLoop then allocates 10% of the total proceeds to a reward pool that is redistributed to Green Entrepreneur NFT holders based on their share of total contributions to the program.
To qualify for this NFT and the associated quarterly rewards, your cumulative credit purchases must reach at least 1,000 USD. If you only need a small, one-off offset or are not ready to commit at this level, you can still purchase credits to support plastic recovery, but you will not receive the NFT or a share of the reward pool.
