Plastic credit program

What this page covers
Plastic credit program
ZeLoop’s Plastic Credit program links verified plastic collection to digital credits so organisations can support real waste recovery while advancing their sustainability goals in the UAE and internationally.
Credits are generated from on-the-ground plastic collection tracked through the ZeLoop ecosystem, giving businesses and individuals a practical way to address their plastic footprint and back measurable circular-economy projects.
When you purchase Credits for a minimum of $1000, you receive a unique Green Entrepreneur NFT that reflects your commitment to sustainable entrepreneurship and your contribution to ZeLoop’s green initiatives.
In brief
- ZeLoop connects plastic credits to verified plastic collection, using its mobile app and partners to reward and track real-world recycling and plastic reduction actions.
- Businesses can use the Plastic Credit program to support ESG and CSR objectives, mitigate their plastic footprint, and access impact data linked to on-the-ground collection.
- Individuals and organisations that purchase at least $1000 of Credits receive a Green Entrepreneur NFT, recognising their role as eco-entrepreneurs in the program.
What to do
ZeLoop is a mobile platform that rewards users for verified plastic collection and other eco-actions, and extends this impact to businesses through its Plastic Credit program. Credits are based on plastic that has actually been collected and recorded within the ZeLoop ecosystem, helping turn waste into value for people and the planet.
For businesses, the Plastic Credit program offers NFT-based plastic credits that can be used to address plastic footprint and support ESG and CSR strategies. By backing credits linked to real collection, companies can move away from abstract offset concepts and instead support measurable recycling and anti-littering initiatives in markets such as the UAE, where ZeLoop is initially focused.
Individuals and organisations choose the amount of Credits they wish to purchase to align with their plastic footprint ambitions. From a minimum of $1000, participants receive a Green Entrepreneur NFT, symbolising their role as eco-entrepreneurs and giving them access to a quarterly reward pool funded by a share of the program’s proceeds.
What to keep in mind
Every quarter, proceeds from the Plastic Credit program are calculated and allocated. Under the current model, 90% of proceeds are directed to the underlying plastic collection and related activities, while 10% of proceeds are set aside for a pool dedicated to Green Entrepreneur NFT holders.
Individuals who have purchased at least $1000 of Credits qualify as Eco-Entrepreneurs and receive the Green Entrepreneur NFT. Ownership of this NFT entitles them to a proportional share of the 10% reward pool each quarter, based on the size of their contribution relative to other qualifying participants in that period.
The distribution mechanism can be illustrated with examples. If the program gathers $1500 in a quarter and there is only one Eco-Entrepreneur with a $1000 allocation, that participant receives the full 10% pool of $150. In a later quarter where the program collects $2600 and there are two Eco-Entrepreneurs with different allocations, the 10% pool of $260 is split between them in proportion to their respective contributions.
